We provide private training in your home, as we believe it's most effective to train on your dog's 'turf', where most issues occur and where you both are most comfortable learning. We encourage full family participation in our sessions.

Initial consultations are 90 minutes long, as we find most dogs and people have reached their learning thresholds within this time.  

Hearts in the Right Place also provides consultation, resourcing, and locating services to help you decide what type of dog you are looking for.  We will do all the leg work by searching for specific breeds, mixes and personalities by using multiple resources.  It IS possible to adopt the 'dog of your dreams' - be it a purebred or special type of personality.  We can help locate and set up a meeting session for you to get acquainted with your potential new friend.  Each client's needs are different, and we take as much time as is required to find that perfect fit.  Private consultation meetings are $35.00 per hour, and additional fees such as transporting your dog may apply.

Whether it's picking up or dropping your pet off at the groomer's, vet, or boarding kennel, or if you have found that perfect rescue dog out of state and need to transport him, Hearts in the Right Place can provide wheels for your dog! Fees are $20.00 per hour and include locations within a 15 mile radius of Augusta Medical Center. Additional mileage surcharge may apply outside of this area, and long distance transports will be based on a flat fee plus mileage (call for details).

Pet End of Life Consultation & Support

Facing the inevitable loss of our pets is heartbreaking and can be very stressul and confusing. We can help you work through this process from accompanying you to vet visits to providing support through the end of life process. Our hope is to provide comfort to pet owners who may find themselves alone or the sole decision makers in this difficult process. We work with you and your vet to ensure your desires and needs are met.

Love taking walks but not with your dog?  Worried about leaving your little darling with access to your new rug while  you're at work?  These services offer much needed structure for your puppy or adult dog.

Initial 90 minute, in-home Consult/Training Session: $85.00*

Follow-Up Visits: $35.00* per hour for add'l hours/visits

Pre-Adoption Consult: $35.00 p/h

Dog Boarding: $25.00 per 24 hour period 

Puppy Boarding: $30.00 per 24 hour period

Leash/Crate Training: $35.00 per day  (each session being 1 hour per day)

Pet Transport: Call for price (determined by mileage)

Pet End of Life Consult: determined on a case by case basis
